Chem/Bio is a No No

Assad is an Animal.  An animal we need to keep the other animals in line but an animal none the less.

Animals can only be taught by Pavlovian conditioning.

Assad by his nature was going to test Trump's limits.

When Obama declared Chemical weapons a "Red Line" Assad instinctively crossed it just to find out what his reaction would be.  Obama's reaction was of course nothing.

Now, Assad knows what he can't get away with.

Putin is pissed and rightfully so. However, relations between Washington and Moscow were going to go no where so long as a substantial part of the American electorate was convinced that Trump was Moscow's bitch.  As of today no one believes that.  It's going to take a while but things can move forward from here.

If this is as far as things go then we are good.  If Trump decides regime change in Syria is in order than God help us all.

Why would Assad gas his own people that makes no sense to me?

If they aren't under Assad's control, they aren't his people so far as he's concerned.

Look up Hama Rules.

The Assad family invented them.

Looked into it, never knew Assad has a foot injury from a failed grenade assassination.

Do you think that there is any way to end all this without starting WW3? Both NATO and Russia want the oil that Syria is sitting on and I doubt they'll place nice to get it.

NATO is a paper tiger without American support and America now has a conflicting interest with Europe regarding oil reserves.

In two years the US will become a major exporter of petroleum. But because our oil is heavy/sour crude it is in the USA's interest to keep oil prices above $50 a barrel.

Consequently, America is better off if Syria's oil stays in the ground.

Like I said, I'll worry when Trump starts talking regime change in Syria and so far he isn't.
