Gun Control; Another Reason the NBA Sucks Ass

I was never big on basketball.  Never.  I do not have an awesome game of hoops. There isn't much in the way of strategy and as for tactics it's either one on one or zone defense.    There isn't a lot more to it no matter what anyone says.  It's all hotdogs playing like hotdogs at this point.  Unless you have a favorite hotdog, you've got no money on the table.

Consequently the NBA's decision to go all in on Gun Control doesn't really affect me other than I now have a political reason to avoid the crap.

The NBA/Everytown partnership was brokered by Spike Lee, who is, of course, a member of the gun-control group's creative council.

“But because of the N.R.A., politicians and the gun manufacturers, we’re dying under that tyranny,” Lee said. Reciting a statistic from Everytown, he added: “Ninety Americans are dying every day because of the N.R.A., gun manufacturers, and politicians willing to run you under the table.”

People are dying because some criminal dirt bag chose to use a firearm to kill someone.

John Feinblatt, president of Everytown, said that people need to understand the damage caused by gun violence.

“This,” Mr. Feinblatt said of the N.B.A. ads, “is clearly about educating the public.”

More like reducating not that the NBA's most rapid fans are not going to be giving the slightest of fucks about this.  Few of them buy their guns legally anyway.

Although the far sighted ones will view it as Christmas Day the whole year round.

After all it's hard to rob someone if they are armed.

In fairness to the NBA, they do have their reasons for supporting gun control.

I loved the comment I saw somewhere a couple years ago, something along the lines of this:

Do we call lynching "rope violence"?
Do we call the carnage on our highways "car violence"?
Do we call the {alleged} "holocaust" gas chamber violence?"

So why do "we" use the term "gun violence"? We need to rename it: it's not "gun" violence, IT'S GOON VIOLENCE!
